Common Questions

1. WHAT ARE YOUR SUNDAY SERVICES LIKE?

Each Sunday at Lima Baptist Temple you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, traditionally blended contemporary worship and a practical, relevant message. You’ll also find a printed outline for notes in your worship guide that will help you make the most of each week’s teaching. Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery and fun-filled LBT-Kids service.

2. WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?

If your joining us for the first time we have a parking spot just for you, located at the front of our building. Someone from our greeting team will make sure to connect with you just inside the main entrance doors; to give you a brief overview of our campus so you know where the things are located. We want you to fill welcomed and at home here, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

3. WHERE DO I PARK?

Our regular members enter our parking lot on the far East and West entrances, visitors enter our parking lot in one of the two center entrances, and we also offer Valet Parking for parents with small children, senior adults, and anyone else that would like assistance getting from their vehicle into our building. Volunteers are located at the covered drop-off area, in front of the building.

**All Valet Volunteers have had a background check performed prior to being accepted for this role. NO GRATUITIES are accepted by the volunteers! They are contributing their time and talent as a form of worship and service.

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Sunday Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because it is not about what you look like or what you wear.

There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by getting plugged into a ministry for people your age whether it be Sunday Morning Group at 10:00 AM, a Midweek Program, or a Sunday Night Ministry are all other great ways to connect. Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our Discovering Church Membership Class, pastors, and deacons offer the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. You can begin the process at any time by speaking with a Pastor or deacon.

10. WHY DO YOU HAVE SUNDAY MORNING GROUPS?

Sunday Morning Groups are an important part of Lima Baptist Temple; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our Sunday Morning Groups. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As Lima Baptist Temple grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you.

11. HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN A SUNDAY MORNING GROUP?

One of the easiest things to do is to participate in a group. Groups meet throughout our campus at 10 AM on Sundays to provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Come check one out for your age group this week!
